A blood replacement chit is issued by the medico-social worker in blood bank to the patients’ relatives.
The blood replacement chit has 3 copies, out of which 1 is kept in the Blood Bank and the other other 2 are given to the relatives.
The relatives take the 2 chits to other blood banks, where the original receipt is deposited.
The relatives bring back the unit of blood and duplicate receipt to KEM Blood Bank.
The blood is cross-matched again in KEM Blood Bank.
The duplicate copy is kept in Blood Bank records.
The receipt of money is given back to the relative.
